A deeper dive into my Therianthropy

September 11th, 2024

This is a continuation of my previous post "My dive into Therianthropy".

I know I said I wasn't going to make any other posts about this topic, but I recently had a number of eyes on me that assumed the worst upon reading my previous post. I wanted to clear things up about what I believe, how I believe it, and what it actually means.

To begin, let me explain what I mean when I say "identify as". People assumed that I consider and call myself a wolfdog, which isn't true. I consider my past life a wolfdog, not my current self. I am well aware I am a human being, and I can assure you that I act like one and not a wolf or dog in any way. When I say "identify as", I use it loosely to describe a part of me, but not the whole me.

So now that I've cleared that up, I can get into the topic of past lives. To put it simply, I believe that we are each one soul hopping from life to life. Once we die, our soul is filled with the energy from that life before it hops to the next. It is at this point that Therianthropy is relevant. Our spirits are full of so much energy from our previous existence that it can occasionally seep into our new lives.

So why aren't there any dogs or cats as Therians, you might ask? I believe that question has a very simple answer: Intelligence. We can only be as intelligent as our body allows us, and as humans, we are very advanced in a lot of things on our own. Most animals aren't very intelligent (relatively speaking), and can't feel or potray what they are feeling the same as we do. As such, it just usually isn't comprehendable to them in the first place.

Not everyone experiences this kind of energy either, or even takes note of it. While I believe everyone has had past lives of many kinds, it is very likely they all affect a person differently, and the person handles these things differently. To summarize: not everyone gets the same dose or is the same weight. Those who do experience the energy of their past lives either ignore it, have an interest with their past life species, or become a Therian like me.

I have personally always strongly felt the energy of my past life, even though a lot of things about it feel blurry. I feel phantom limbs that would never be there on a human, have a heightened liking to things that would be of interest to my past life, and exhibit some behaviors of my prior species. The energy of my past life has always fluxuated over time. I have times in which it is overwhelming, times where it affects my mindset, and times where it is almost unnoticable. These are experiences that must sound ridiculous to anyone else, but I can assure you that I feel them.

I do not even know if Therianthropy is even the right term for me, but it is the term I know that has the closest meaning. I'm sure my beliefs differ greatly from the common Therians, and perhaps I am missing something better and more suitable for me, but it is what I know of now.

I hope this has helped clear any confusion or questions regarding my Therianthropy, or at the very least was an interesting read. I'm open to discussion if you want to throw me an email, and I can answer questions during a mail-time as always.
